Storage for periods of high demand

GridStor builds and operates battery projects that charge when electricity is available and discharge it when the grid needs additional supply. Gunnar is designed for 150 MW of power and 300 MWh of storage in Texas’s Lower Rio Grande Valley. Construction is underway, with service planned for late 2026.

Financing project construction

The closed $120 million package includes construction loans, tax-equity bridge loans and letters of credit. NORD/LB led the financing, with Siemens Financial Services also lending. A previously signed tolling agreement underpins the project’s commercial arrangement.
