Greencovery raises funding to scale cocoa byproduct ingredients into production
Its separation technology turns food-industry side streams into functional ingredients.
From cocoa side streams to food ingredients
Greencovery separates cocoa-processing side streams into cocoa fibre, cocoa extract and soluble fibre for use in food manufacturing. Its process is designed to recover functional ingredients from material that would otherwise be discarded, giving processors a higher-value route for residual biomass.
The company says it has validated its first commercial batches and will scale production with an industrial partner. The next step is to move the process into a larger operating setting, where repeatable output and supply can be tested against manufacturers’ ingredient needs.
