Gaia Tech secures strategic investment to scale upcycled ingredients
The Swiss company will develop its agricultural byproduct portfolio with Kielder Agro Group and expand ingredients for cosmetics, food and nutraceuticals.
From agricultural side streams to standardized ingredients
Gaia Tech analyzes agricultural byproducts such as olive pomace, rapeseed cake and spent coffee grounds, extracts useful compounds and develops them into ingredients that manufacturers can use in existing formulations. Its Phenoliva line already turns olive pomace into antioxidant ingredients, while other feedstocks are being developed for cosmetics, food and nutraceutical applications.
Kielder Agro Group’s strategic investment and partnership will fund research and development, scale Gaia Tech’s core portfolio and support new ingredients. The partnership links agricultural side-stream supply with an ingredient business that needs consistent, validated materials for manufacturers.
