Furientis announces $5m pre-seed for scalable interceptor production
Silent Ventures led the May 2026 round, joined by Bessemer Venture Partners and SV Angel.
Furientis emerged from stealth on May 14 with a $5 million pre-seed round led by Silent Ventures. Bessemer Venture Partners, SV Angel and individual founders from the defense industry also participated.
The Los Angeles company is developing interceptor systems around the ability to manufacture them at scale. Its approach combines in-house work on seekers, motors and airframes with commercial components where they meet requirements.
At the announcement, Furientis said it was flight-testing ship-based interceptors and hiring across optics, radio-frequency engineering, mechanical engineering, flight software and guidance. Its aim is to expand the supply of defensive munitions while reducing the cost per interception.
