JICN invests in Fairy Devices’ connected-worker technology
The equity investment backs wearable and remote-assistance systems for industrial maintenance. The amount was not disclosed.
Japan Green Investment Corp. for Carbon Neutrality has completed an equity investment in Fairy Devices. The investor announced the support on 23 October without disclosing an amount.
The Tokyo company combines its neck-worn THINKLET device with LINKLET remote-assistance software. Field workers can use both hands while sharing their view with an expert elsewhere and recording the task.
JICN sees the technology as a way to support the installation and maintenance of energy equipment while reducing the need for experts to travel. Fairy Devices also plans to develop AI assistance using recorded field-work data.
