EZO closes €150m senior debt facility for EV charging
The financing ties repayment to charging revenues under long-term public-sector concessions in the UK and Ireland.
Charging revenues underpin the debt
EZO’s non-recourse facility draws on a lending consortium that includes Aberdeen Investments and Standard Life. Revenue from the financed chargers will be set aside to repay the debt over seven years.
The structure links infrastructure funding to long-term public contracts: EZO’s concessions include a 20-year agreement in northern Scotland and a 15-year agreement in the English Midlands. Public partners share in charging revenues, and the chargers transfer to the public sector when concessions end.
