Exclaim Robotics raises $4.95m to automate data-centre maintenance
Founderful and Playfair co-lead the Swiss robotics company’s pre-seed round.
Exclaim Robotics emerged from stealth on August 4 with $4.95 million in pre-seed financing co-led by Founderful and Playfair.
Proving precise maintenance tasks
The company is developing mobile robots that can work across the front of a server rack, handling optics, cables and drives. Its first engineering milestone is to perform those tasks repeatedly without damaging equipment, before deployment in operating data centres.
Founder Helen Oleynikova previously worked on robotics at Microsoft and NVIDIA. Exclaim’s approach targets the physical maintenance work that software cannot perform, with remote human assistance when a robot lacks confidence in a task.
