Evos emerges from stealth with $9m pre-seed funding
Uncork Capital and Field Ventures co-led the financing for the New York developer of AI operators for industrial businesses.
Evos announced $9 million in pre-seed funding on October 14. Uncork Capital and Field Ventures co-led the round, joined by Crosslink Capital, Utopia Capital Management, Sandwith Ventures and angel investors.
The company is taking its technology into businesses where important operating knowledge sits with experienced employees. Its AI operators learn how those employees handle decisions and exceptions, then perform assigned functions within existing systems.
An early customer, freight brokerage MyFreightWorld, uses Evos to check carrier invoices against its transportation management system. Evos says the operator made approximately 3,500 audit decisions in its first two months, illustrating the type of recurring back-office work it is targeting.
