Emerald secures £1.4m in grant and venture funding
A £700,000 Innovate UK award is matched by £700,000 in venture capital, with Sequel and Highgoal among the backers.
The new package brings the preventive healthcare company’s total funding to £2.9 million. The venture investment followed the grant award, with existing investors also participating.
Emerald will use the money to expand commercial partnerships, products and clinical services. The Innovate UK grant specifically supports AI applications and the underlying technology. The company says employee-benefits partnerships are opening a route to wider adoption through employers.
