Echelon unveils early backing for Saudi AI deployment business
East40, RAED Ventures, Avra and Ben Horowitz were named among its backers; the investment amount was not disclosed.
Riyadh-based Echelon has disclosed early backing from East40, RAED Ventures, Avra, Ben Horowitz and other investors. The company, founded by Khalid Bin Bader Al Saud, was publicly introduced in October after around ten months of development.
Its next phase adds local engineering and training capacity to its technology partnerships. Frontier, planned for the fourth quarter of 2026, will place engineers inside customer organisations to build and deploy AI applications. An Institute is also planned for the quarter to train Saudi engineers.
Echelon says it will initially focus on Saudi Arabia before expanding regionally. A separate defence business is planned for the first quarter of 2027, extending its work from enterprise deployment towards additional specialised operations.
