doxx.net raises $38 million Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz

Founder Barrett Lyon brings experience from Prolexic, BitGravity and Defense.net to private networking for people and AI agents.

Animo Ventures and Focal.vc participated as doxx.net opened its public beta. The platform combines encrypted links between devices with private names and a certificate authority, allowing services to resolve and communicate inside a network defined by its user.

The company operates dedicated hardware, its own IP address space and a global backbone. People and agents can configure connections and firewall rules through apps or an API; calls, messages and file transfers use peer-to-peer paths across the mesh. These controls place boundaries around the network access an agent receives when it browses, calls tools or moves a user’s files.
