CureMeAbroad raises $1.1m in first institutional round
SteerX Ventures leads the medical travel platform’s financing following its April angel round.
Institutional backing for treatment bookings
SteerX Ventures led the pre-seed round, joined by existing investor AIRA Buildcon. It follows the $600,000 angel financing announced in April, giving the Pune company its first institutional backing.
CureMeAbroad reported an annualised patient treatment booking run rate of $4.8 million and a provider network spanning six countries. Patients from the US, UK, Australia and Canada form its main international markets.
The next phase includes exploring physical experience centres alongside its online service. Those centres would give prospective patients an in-person point of contact before committing to treatment abroad.
