Cotierra secures €2.6 million for commercial biochar deployments
The climate-tech company is taking its distributed biochar systems from field deployments toward repeatable programs in agricultural supply chains.
Turning farm residues into traceable biochar
Cotierra pairs decentralised reactors with monitoring software so agricultural businesses can convert residual biomass close to where it is produced, return biochar to soils and track production and deployment data. The company has built its initial model in coffee supply chains and is expanding toward other tropical commodities, including cocoa, cotton and citrus.
