Cota Robotics announces €1.92m pre-seed for retail robot operations
byFounders leads the financing for a Stockholm team already running paid pilots of its managed robot workforce.
Building the operating layer for retail robots
Cota’s early deployments had reached two retail sites by the funding announcement, according to EstVCA. The company starts with overnight store work, where replenishment demands and difficult-to-fill shifts create a practical entry point for automation.
Lead investor byFounders describes a hardware-agnostic strategy: Cota can adopt machines from different manufacturers while developing the deployment, monitoring and fleet logistics needed to run them reliably. Founders Teo Rizvanovic and Kildo Alias previously built drone-delivery company Aerit, bringing experience of operating robotics in real-world settings.
