CorePower Magnetics raises $10.6m for advanced manufacturing
Engine Ventures and Material Impact co-led the financing for the Pittsburgh manufacturer of power-electronics components.
Magnetic components for high-demand power systems
CorePower Magnetics makes inductors and transformers for power electronics, using proprietary nanocrystalline alloys and integrated manufacturing processes. Smaller, lighter and more efficient magnetic components can help address size, heat and efficiency constraints in data centers, grid systems and industrial electrification.
The company says its paid engagements include global enterprises and Fortune 500 customers. The financing brings its reported total raised to $13.6 million and will expand manufacturing capacity and development.
