Climentum Capital Fund II reaches €60 million first close
EIF, EIFO and the Danish Society of Engineers backed the fund’s early-stage climate hardware strategy.
Climentum Capital Fund II reached a €60 million first close on July 3, 2026, towards a €100 million target. The European Investment Fund committed €40 million as anchor investor, alongside €15 million from Denmark’s EIFO and €5 million from the Danish Society of Engineers, IDA.
The fund plans around 20 investments in early-stage European climate technology companies. Its seed and Series A strategy focuses on hardware and deeptech for energy, industry, transport and agriculture, particularly in Nordic and German-speaking markets.
Climentum’s investment approach links emissions reduction with industrial resilience and competitiveness. The new vehicle provides long-term capital for companies developing technologies that often need substantial validation and manufacturing work before reaching commercial scale.
