Circle Games raises $25 million Series A led by Tencent
The Turkish studio is expanding two puzzle titles and developing additional mobile games.
Puzzle mechanics designed for mobile
Sort Express asks players to organize and match three-dimensional objects as levels become more difficult. Jelly Escape uses a grid of obstacles and color-matched exits, adding a timer to its route-planning puzzles. The studio is developing both titles while working on additional games.
Tencent led the Series A, with e2vc, BITKRAFT Ventures, APY Ventures and a16z Speedrun also participating. The financing will support expansion of Jelly Escape into additional markets, continued growth of Sort Express and a larger team.
A broader game portfolio
The company is building around familiar puzzle actions that gain complexity through level design. Its plans pair wider distribution of existing releases with more development capacity for new titles.
