ChainCraft’s ACE biorefinery selected for EU grant preparation
ChainCraft plans to scale circular fatty-acid production using agricultural residues.
Grant agreement preparation
On October 19, the EU Innovation Fund selected ChainCraft’s ACE project for grant-agreement preparation. The individual allocation remains undisclosed and the contract is pending.
The ACE project is coordinated by ChainCraft Holding BV in the Netherlands. It centres on an industrial biorefinery for circular fatty acids.
Industrial application
ChainCraft uses fermentation to turn organic residues into chemical ingredients for agri-food and industrial applications. Its planned flagship plant is designed for 20,000 tonnes of fatty acids annually, extending the company’s existing demonstration-scale production.
