Boxd raises €2m pre-seed for cloud development environments
BlueYard Capital led the round as Boxd builds persistent virtual machines for developers and coding agents.
A running development environment that can be copied
Boxd provides cloud Linux virtual machines developers can access over SSH, with persistent storage and root control. Its snapshotting and live-forking lets teams or agents clone a running environment, including its active memory and processes, to create isolated workspaces without rebuilding the setup.
The company plans to improve boot-and-fork performance, launch self-serve team adoption and develop a self-hosted enterprise offering. Boxd says the infrastructure is designed for parallel agent work as well as everyday software development.
