The Colombian fintech will use the bilateral credit facility, worth approximately $11.3m, to finance smaller businesses.
Bold obtained a COP37.45bn bilateral loan from BBVA Spark to expand lending to micro, small and medium-sized businesses in Colombia. The lender announced the financing on October 21, 2026, putting its value at approximately $11.3m.
The Colombian fintech has grown from low-cost payment terminals into deposits, digital payments and credit. BBVA said Bold had served more than 700,000 merchants in Colombia and Peru and was processing roughly COP20tn a year in card and QR payments. The facility adds financing capacity behind that merchant network.
