Blacksmith raises $66m Series C at a $1bn valuation

Sequoia Capital led the Series C, with Premji Invest, Peak XV Partners, GV and Y Combinator participating.

Blacksmith announced a $66 million Series C on 21 October 2026, led by Sequoia Capital at a $1 billion valuation. Premji Invest and existing investors Peak XV Partners, GV and Y Combinator also participated.

The company will use the capital to grow its team and computing footprint. It manages just under 10 megawatts of compute across US and European data centres and aims to increase that capacity fivefold in 2027.

The round follows a $45 million Series B in August and brings total funding to approximately $125 million. Blacksmith says weekly continuous integration jobs grew from 5 million in January to more than 90 million as customers generated more code and needed additional capacity to build and test it.
