Bisedge secures €10m senior loan for electric forklift expansion

Finnfund’s financing will support fleets in Nigeria, Tanzania and Kenya.

Finnfund announced a €10 million senior debt investment in Bisedge on October 14. The facility follows Bisedge’s earlier equity financing and will fund additional electric material-handling equipment across its African operations.

Bisedge supplies forklifts, maintenance and trained operators through long-term service agreements. Its customers move goods within factories, warehouses and distribution centres without buying the equipment upfront.

Trine, which has financed Bisedge since 2021, helped arrange the facility. The investment benefits from an EU-backed guarantee under the EDFI Renewable Energy Transition programme.
