Betterplan raises $1.1 million for its adviser-backed portfolio platform
The Chilean wealth platform brings portfolio tools, goal-based recommendations and access to human advisers into one investing relationship.
Choice between advice and self-direction
Betterplan customers can set financial goals and complete a risk profile, then choose an expert-designed portfolio, work with an adviser on a tailored allocation or manage a self-directed portfolio. The service analyzes funds and presents recommendations against each customer’s goals and risk tolerance.
Advice without custody
The platform gives clients portfolio visibility and planning tools, while external brokers and fund managers carry out investment instructions. Betterplan also provides portfolio-management software to independent advisers; the company reported serving about 2,000 clients and managing roughly $150 million in assets.
