Benchmark secures $750 million for early-stage fund

The larger core vehicle expands the capital available for Benchmark’s founder-focused early-stage strategy.

Benchmark secured $750 million in commitments for a new early-stage fund, according to reports published on June 3, 2026. The vehicle accompanies a separate $1.25 billion growth fund, bringing the two announced pools to $2 billion.

The larger core fund gives the partnership more room to invest as early-stage financing rounds grow. Benchmark’s approach remains centred on working closely with founders from the beginning, with investments spanning seed through Series B.

In an October interview, partner Peter Fenton described the core business as a long-term commitment to company-building. The new growth pool broadens the partnership’s mandate while preserving a separate early-stage strategy.
