Completed work for accountants to review

Basis agents work through accounting tasks rather than only answering questions about financial data. The company said its platform could complete a partnership tax workbook end to end and was used for complex journal entries, reconciliations and accounting memos.

A larger research and engineering team

Accel led the $100 million Series B, with GV, Lloyd Blankfein and returning investor Khosla Ventures among the backers. The capital supports platform development and additional hiring.
