Aurrigo awarded £1.43m grant for autonomous airport safety work

CAM Pathfinder funding will support investigation of security and inspection tasks using Auto-Shuttle vehicles.

A wider role for autonomous airside vehicles

The project extends Aurrigo’s airport technology into routine safety work. Autonomous patrols and inspections could help staff identify perimeter issues and surface hazards while reserving human attention for tasks requiring judgement.

Aurrigo already develops vehicles and software for baggage and cargo operations. This award explores how the same technology base can support another part of airport operations.

The grant sits within the UK Government’s £150 million CAM Pathfinder programme, delivered with Zenzic and Innovate UK. The announcement states that government grant funding remains subject to HMG approval.
