Augur secures Sovereign AI backing for public safety software
The UK fund pairs an undisclosed investment with supercomputer access as Augur researches safety applications with Transport for London.

The backing gives Augur access to Isambard-AI to train models on larger, more complex datasets spanning multiple cameras. Sovereign AI says this should improve how the software interprets scenes as activity moves between locations.
Augur is also working with Transport for London to research whether its technology can help identify sexual offences and harassment on the bus network. The work will examine early intervention and evidence gathering; it is a research partnership, rather than a claim of an established detection service.
The investment was announced on 14 October. Its value was not disclosed. The £500 million figure associated with Sovereign AI refers to the fund as a whole, not the amount invested in Augur.
