Atomic Insights raises $10m seed to connect wealth managers’ payment workflows

Aquiline led the January financing, joined by Northwestern Mutual Future Ventures, for software connecting payment requests, approvals and execution.

Client payments can send a wealth management operations team back and forth between email, spreadsheets and separate financial portals. Atomic Insights brings requests for bills and capital calls into one workflow. One person prepares an instruction and another approves it before authorized payments pass through bank and custodian APIs, with an audit trail and cashflow reporting kept alongside the transaction.

The platform also connects account data to CRM and portfolio-management systems, including Salesforce and Addepar. At the January announcement, Aquiline said anchor adviser and family-office clients represented more than $75bn in assets on the platform. That figure describes the scale of the clients’ assets; Atomic’s business is the operational software used to coordinate payments across them.

What the funding supports

  • Deepen real-time custodian connections
  • Expand money movement and treasury products
  • Improve cashflow reporting for RIAs and family offices
