AREP secures pre-seed funding to expand its Saudi lab-science platform
The undisclosed round will support technology development and operations as the startup combines laboratory training with equipment procurement.
Training and supplies for research laboratories
AREP, short for Academic Research and Educational Platform, addresses skills and procurement gaps in educational and research laboratories. Its Academy offers laboratory-science education, while AREP Marketplace helps institutions source scientific equipment and supplies.
The company has closed an undisclosed pre-seed round led by Golden Assets Investment. AREP plans to develop both technology products and expand operations in Saudi Arabia, building on support from local technology programmes MVPLAB and BOOST at The Garage.
