Improving how existing medicines are delivered

Allos models the effects of formulation, dose, delivery method and patient biology. Its initial focus is complex drugs that are difficult to reproduce as generics or awkward for patients to take over long periods. It works with pharmaceutical partners on formulation choices and study design.

Using patient variation earlier in development

Health-record evidence informs how the platform groups patients and evaluates development options. The aim is to choose more informative studies before committing to expensive clinical programmes. Oxford Science Enterprises led the $5 million round, joined by Habico Invest, Orifarm’s family office, and Berkeley SkyDeck.

Where the funding goes

  • Expansion of formulation development
  • Expansion of the data science team
