Alice raises $40m Series D to expand its AI healthcare tools
IFC leads the round alongside DEG, Finnfund and returning venture investors.
Alice has raised a $40 million Series D led by the International Finance Corporation, according to reporting published on October 19. DEG and Finnfund joined existing investors Kaszek, ThornTree Capital and Canary.
The Brazilian health insurer is expanding AI tools for members, clinicians and brokers. Its Alice AI assistant uses a member’s health history to provide contextual support and connect them with care. The product was running with part of the member base ahead of a wider launch.
The financing supports Alice’s effort to build AI into healthcare delivery and operations. It follows a separate $127 million Series C in 2021 and a later extension.
