AcademyAI raises £1.65m pre-seed to measure workplace AI skills
The financing supports practical assessments and tailored training that help employers see whether teams can apply AI tools in role-specific work.
Evidence of ability, not course completion
AcademyAI assesses employees against practical AI capability areas, identifies gaps by role and provides short, tailored learning modules. Managers can track skills across teams and departments, seeing whether people can use tools such as ChatGPT and Copilot in their work rather than relying on course-completion counts.
The product is aimed at organisations introducing AI across functions such as finance, sales and operations. Its business offering is available to employers by demo, while the separate individual product is described as launching later.
Turning adoption into a workforce plan
The £1.65 million pre-seed round includes Nexus Family Office and Panthera Family Office. AcademyAI plans to use the funding to expand its team, develop the platform and grow its customer base in the United States.
