Abby Care raises $82m Series C to expand paid family caregiving
Transformation Capital leads the round, with CVS Health Ventures joining as Abby Care builds closer ties with health plans and expands beyond its eight-state footprint.
Health plan investors join the next stage
Abby Care announced its latest financing on October 15. New investors CVS Health Ventures, Frist Cressey Ventures and Pivotal Ventures join returning backers Khosla Ventures, Thrive Capital and Sequoia Capital in the Transformation Capital-led round.
The company combines paid family caregiving with clinical oversight and records that health plans can verify. CVS Health Ventures’ participation adds a healthcare-sector investor as Abby Care seeks closer partnerships with the organizations paying for members’ care.
A larger patient base since the Series B
Abby Care says its patient census has grown more than fivefold since the Thrive Capital-led Series B in the third quarter of 2024. It now operates in eight states and serves thousands of families, according to the company.
That expansion gives the Series C a concrete starting point: a multistate care operation whose next phase is intended to reach more families with long-term or complex needs. The company’s stated goal is to help people remain safely at home while giving care teams and health plans clearer oversight.
