Reusable spacecraft and propulsion systems for transporting cargo to orbital stations and returning it to Earth.
The Exploration Company is developing Nyx, a reusable cargo capsule designed to launch on heavy rockets, dock with space stations, deliver and collect cargo, re-enter and return for refurbishment. The company is also developing Storm, a reusable high-thrust rocket engine intended for a launcher. Nyx is still in development: the company is building and testing demonstrators and preparing future station missions rather than operating routine cargo flights.
Space agencies, station operators and commercial customers are the intended users of Nyx’s orbital logistics service. The vehicle is designed to fly to a station, unload or collect cargo, return to Earth and be refurbished for another mission. Storm is a separate propulsion program that could support launch providers. The company operates across Europe, with Germany as its country of headquarters in external portfolio and ESA listings.
