Tandem builds an AI clinical assistant that turns patient consultations and clinician dictation into draft notes and follow-up documents for review in existing medical-record systems.
Tandem’s ambient scribe captures a clinical consultation and prepares a structured draft note using the provider’s templates. Clinicians can also dictate and use voice commands to edit documentation. The system can draft referrals and other documents and suggest diagnosis or procedure codes; clinicians review and approve material before it is transferred into the patient record.
The assistant connects to electronic medical-record and practice systems rather than asking care teams to replace them. Tandem says it integrates with more than 100 systems and is used across primary care, hospitals, dentistry, social care and other settings. Its product is in commercial use across European markets; the company describes an AI-native clinic operating system as a direction for expansion.
Tandem is designed to reduce time spent recording visits and completing administrative work, keeping the clinician responsible for the final note and coding. The company says its product is built and run with clinicians and supports healthcare organisations, clinics and independent practitioners.
