Tab lets people hand off everyday tasks through the messaging apps they already use. It can work with text, documents, photos and other files, then return the result in the same conversation.

The assistant has its own computer, browser and phone number, enabling it to make calls, arrange reservations and use connected accounts. Purchases require the user to approve the item, total and recipient before payment.

Brennan Erbz, Stafford Schlitt and Ammar Amdani began building Tab in 2026. The company is developing its product around a continuing relationship with the user, retaining context between tasks and keeping work in an individual environment.
