S-Transistors
Finland · Hardware
Superconducting transistor circuits that let quantum hardware teams route more measurement channels through the limited wiring inside cryogenic refrigerators.
More measurements through fewer wires
S-Transistors develops cold electronics for quantum hardware teams. Its first planned products are multiplexers: switching circuits that connect many devices to a smaller number of measurement lines inside a dilution refrigerator. This could let researchers characterize more quantum chips in each cooling cycle without adding a separate cable for every device.
The company uses superconducting transistors to combine electrical switching with low heat dissipation at millikelvin temperatures. Its website describes a 150 mm pilot line and multiplexer development, with first products scheduled for 2027. Integrated routing, control and readout are later steps toward its proposed quantum motherboard.
