Readily Diagnostics
Sweden · Healthtech
Readily Diagnostics develops molecular tests that help clinicians identify infectious diseases near the patient without relying on a central laboratory.
A visible result from a molecular reaction
Readily uses padlock probes to recognise a pathogen’s genetic material, then amplifies the signal through a rolling-circle reaction. Detection beads bind to the amplified material and form visible clumps, allowing a positive or negative result to be read without an electronic reader. The company is developing a small cartridge intended for clinics and other settings with limited laboratory infrastructure.
The platform is designed to adapt to different pathogens by changing the probes. Readily also describes a laboratory format for research use. Its point-of-care tests remain in development and have not received regulatory authorisation; the company’s stated 15–30-minute turnaround is a development claim rather than an approved clinical specification.
