Reactive Technologies measures grid inertia and other stability conditions in real time, helping system operators see where renewable-heavy networks are vulnerable and plan or respond with better data.
GridVerix uses continuous point-on-wave measurement to show how inertia is distributed across a power network and how it changes over time. Its data can reveal regional low-inertia areas and hidden contributions from demand-side or behind-the-meter resources that system-wide estimates may miss. This helps operators understand real network conditions as conventional generation is replaced with inverter-connected renewables.
The service is designed for transmission and distribution system operators, utilities and asset owners. Real-time, location-specific measurements can inform operating decisions, stability forecasting, planning studies and the placement of corrective measures. Reactive Technologies reports deployments with grid operators including the UK system operator and Taiwan Power Company; its current financing will support product development and wider European rollout.
