Prevision Medicine
Laboratory testing of living patient-derived cancer cells against drugs and combinations, producing response data to support oncologists’ treatment decisions.

From a fresh sample to an oncology decision
Prevision Medicine develops PrevisionOne, a laboratory platform that measures how a patient’s living cancer cells respond to potential treatments. Fresh blood-cancer or tumour samples are sent to its lab and exposed to a panel of drugs and combinations. Automated microscopy and AI analysis compare cancer-cell and non-cancer-cell responses, producing a report that helps the treating oncologist assess options for that individual patient.
The company describes a report turnaround of three days and publishes research underlying the approach. On its website, Professor Thomas Pabst of Inselspital Bern describes using PrevisionOne in clinical workflows for patients who have exhausted standard options. Prevision says its technology has been evaluated through collaborations with more than 20 European hospitals and 2,000 patient samples. Broader commercialisation, regulatory clearances and reimbursement coverage remain objectives of the next expansion.
