Nanolope develops ceiling panels that store and release heat to moderate temperatures in existing buildings.
Product
Nanolope embeds plant-based phase-change material in a stable porous matrix. The material absorbs room heat as it melts and releases that heat as it solidifies, allowing the panels to buffer temperature changes without powered cooling or moving components.
The Berlin company designs its panels for installation in occupied multifamily buildings, with offices and other commercial properties planned as later markets. It is evaluating performance in occupied buildings with scientific partners; integration with heat pumps and photovoltaic systems remains a development plan.
