Kasvu Therapeutics

Finland · Biotech · Healthtech

Kasvu Therapeutics develops small-molecule treatments intended to stimulate neuroplasticity without the hallucinogenic effects associated with psychedelic drugs.

Drug design around the TrkB pathway

Kasvu uses a proprietary three-dimensional computational model to design positive allosteric modulators of the TrkB receptor. The molecules are intended to amplify the body’s BDNF signalling while avoiding activation of the 5-HT2A receptor associated with hallucinations.

Its lead candidate, KTX-0141, is in studies preparing for clinical development. The initial clinical programme is aimed at major depressive disorder, within a broader focus on neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative conditions.
