Jiangsu Yiruida Composite Materials
China · Industrial tech · Climate tech
Develops nano-silica composite thermal and fire insulation for lithium-ion battery cells in electric vehicles and energy-storage systems.
Battery-cell protection
The materials address heat transfer between cells in electric-vehicle and energy-storage batteries. Yiruida combines graphene, radiation-shielding powders and high-temperature inhibitors to limit heat conduction, radiation and convection.
From research to manufacturing
The business commercializes research from the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Suzhou Institute of Nano-Tech and Nano-Bionics. It established production in Xinghua, Jiangsu, with backing from Taizhou Angel Investment Fund and Lize Fund.
Production and financing
An initial production run served a Taiwanese customer in November 2024. A later government update said the first line entered stable operation in February 2025 and the company was building a second automated line.
The two funds invested a combined CNY10 million in an angel financing completed in July 2024. Xinghua authorities disclosed the investment in December 2024.
