Foldcast combines structural design software with digitally fabricated, paper-based moulds to produce concrete elements. Its approach places concrete where a structure needs it, aiming to reduce material use while preserving the required strength and function. The moulds are designed to be flexible and fully recyclable.
The company offers SlabX, a prefabricated floor system, and Vertebra, a staircase assembled on site. It supports architects, engineers, general contractors and real estate developers from design through fabrication and installation, integrating the elements into established construction processes.
