ENORM Biofactory developed large-scale production of black soldier fly larvae in Denmark. Its process used residual biomass from the food industry to produce protein and oil for animal feed, alongside fertiliser. The intended customers included suppliers of feed for fish, pigs and poultry.

The company combined insect breeding and production technology with industrial logistics and processing. It entered bankruptcy in October 2025 following an unsuccessful restructuring process.
