From a completed job to an approved cash advance

Duqu lets a business request a short-term loan against an invoice it has already sent for completed work or delivered goods. The applicant uploads the invoice and connects a business bank account so Duqu can assess cash flow and verify the request. The company promises payment within 24 hours after approval. The invoice remains with the business, its customer continues paying the usual account, and the borrower remains responsible for repayment.

The service is already accepting applications from Dutch businesses, including freelancers and small firms needing cash for payroll, materials or another job. Its application process includes a human check, supported by bank transaction data; each request is assessed separately. Businesses pay when they take an advance, with the cost shown before acceptance. Duqu is also developing wider distribution of its underwriting technology for other lenders.
