Alt Capital II is the second institutional venture fund launched by Jack Altman’s San Francisco-based Alt Capital. Its September 2025 investment mandate focused on startups using artificial intelligence to replace established enterprise software.
The announced strategy put particular emphasis on leading Series A rounds and building a concentrated portfolio. Altman brought experience from co-founding Lattice, the people-management software company, to his work with founders.
After Altman joined Benchmark in February 2026, Bloomberg reported that Alt Capital would stop new investments and leave most fund commitments uncalled.
