ai3Bio develops therapies designed to remove disease-causing Th17 immune cells, using antibody and lipid-nanoparticle platforms to address autoimmune disease.
Two approaches to immune-cell targeting
ai3Bio is developing treatments intended to address the immune cells driving autoimmune disease. Its STARx platform uses lipid nanoparticles to deliver mRNA designed to trigger self-destruction in targeted Th17 cells. T Deplete uses antibodies to recruit other immune cells to clear them.
Both platforms are in preclinical development. The company is preparing studies needed before first-in-human trials; lasting remission is a development objective rather than an established clinical result.
