Advanced NanoTherapies develops nanoparticle-coated balloons that deliver two drugs locally during vascular procedures, starting with its investigational SirPlux Duo device.
Local drug delivery during vascular intervention
Advanced NanoTherapies is developing a nanoparticle delivery platform for catheter-based treatment of coronary and peripheral artery disease. Its SirPlux Duo balloon is designed to transfer paclitaxel and sirolimus to tissue at the treatment site, aiming to limit the cell growth that can narrow a vessel again after a procedure.
The platform uses technology exclusively licensed from Cleveland Clinic. It is designed for sustained local drug retention through biodegradable nanoparticles and can support different drug combinations. SirPlux Duo remains under clinical development and is not approved for commercial sale; breakthrough designation relates to its regulatory development pathway.
