Occam Industries raises €3.8m led by North Ventures
Sparkmind and Grenadyr join existing backers in the financing, bringing the drone autonomy developer’s disclosed funding to €7m.
Occam puts autonomy software on a low-cost compute module that can be integrated into existing drones. Its Ludus system lets manufacturers add those capabilities to their own aircraft, connecting the company’s software development to hardware already produced by other businesses.
Chief executive Gui Wainwright says the technology is being deployed and tested with Ukrainian drone manufacturers and military brigades. The latest financing follows a separate €3m pre-seed round announced in February; the current announcement does not identify a formal series label.
What the funding supports
- Expand Ukrainian engineering and R&D
- Scale deployments and drone-manufacturer integrations
- Enter European and NATO defense markets
